Dorothy Nell Pinyan Doyle October 13, 1935 – July 29, 2026 Dorothy Nell Pinyan Doyle, formerly of Blountsville, AL, passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 90. She resided in Gulf Shores, AL, to be closer to family. She was born in Blountsville, to Alfred Charles Pinyan and Jewell Mae Horsley Pinyan and was the sister to Maxine Pinyan Hunt (Travis), Harlon Pinyan, and Drenda Pinyan Tague. In September 1954, Dorothy married John Richard Doyle and together they shared 69 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and adventure. After spending 15 years in Birmingham, AL, they returned to their hometown of Blountsville in 1969, where they made their home for the next 51 years. Her home was always open to family and friends with a hot cup of coffee and a delicious meal to share. Dorothy completed cosmetology school in the mid-1950s and developed a passion for helping others look and feel their very best. This expression of love and care extended throughout her life in countless ways, touching family, friends, and all who knew her. Upon returning to Blountsville, Dorothy became a Line Supervisor and retired from Blount Manufacturing. Her exceptional skills as a seamstress, combined with her strong work ethic and attention to detail, earned the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside her, as well as an abundance of life-long friends. As a faithful member of Blountsville Baptist Church, Dorothy found great joy in supporting the church's ministries. She was among the first to lend a helping hand, touching many lives through her generosity and service. Dorothy was a devout Auburn football fan, proudly wearing the Tiger orange and blue. She also had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Whether it was the ocean or the mountains, it was not uncommon for Dorothy and John to hitch up their camper, load the boat, and set off on a new adventure. While she enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, her greatest joy was always found in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished as one of God’s greatest gifts. Above all, her faith and family were the foundation of her life. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy of unconditional love, grace, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her 3 children, Don R. Doyle, Sr., Catherine D. Fortner, and Terry J. Doyle (Ellen); her 9 grandchildren, M. Beth Doyle, Don R. Doyle, Jr. (Beverly), Courtney S. Westbrook (Steven), Gordon J. Dastmalchi (Jinhee), Eric A. Dastmalchi (Vanessa), John A.M. Doyle, Max J.U. Doyle, Finley K.L. Doyle, and Luke A.P. Doyle; and her 12 great-grandchildren, Kylie D. Westbrook, Karlie W. Byars (Andrew), Don R. Doyle III (Trey), Camille B. Doyle, Harrison R. Doyle, Brandon C. Dastmalchi, Addison C. Dastmalchi, Lawrence M. Doyle (Wren), Easton G. Doyle, Brodie W. Dastmalchi, John David (JD) Doyle, and Enzo N. Dastmalchi. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Blountsville Baptist Church. Family and friends will visit starting at 10:00 a.m. with the celebration of her life service starting at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Randall Edmondson officiating. The burial will be in the Blountsville Cemetery with the Blountsville Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers: Steven Westbrook, Don R.
